There's nothing more exciting than getting the keys to your new home!!  While that excitement is important, so is changing those keys with new locks!  You never know who might have keys, especially when you buy a foreclosed home.  Those locks and keys are used on every house that particular bank is managing.  Yes, that's as scary as it sounds.  Be sure and take a moment to get those locks changed!  If you didn't know, a home warranty on your home covers the rekeying of the  locks!  If you get an alarm system, that often comes with a new front door lock.  Just don't forget to change the rest!

Door locks aren't the only thing you'll want to change! Codes to the garage door are also important! Most garage door openers have the instructions on the overhead garage opener. Youtube is also a great source if you are struggling. Just google the make and model (which is on the opener). Don't forget the key pad if you have one!
